American Red Cross

The American Red Cross Midland/Gladwin Chapter will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Sacred Heart Mission

As members of this Christian Community, the Sacred Heart Mission is an outreach committed to providing clothing, food, heating, utilities and other essentials to Gladwin County people in need.

Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Council (CAN)

The Gladwin County CAN Council promotes the prevention of child abuse and neglect by providing basic need items to families at the Baby Pantry and also provides community education through various community projects.

Clare/Gladwin RESD S.P.A.R.K.S.

S.P.A.R.K.S. (Student Participating in Academics & Recreation for Knowledge & Success) in collaboration with community resources, pledges to provide a safe, caring , out-of-school time environment where young people will grow through disguised learning, enrichment opportunities and family involvement.

Council on Aging

The mission of the CoA is to stimulate, serve and assist older persons (60+) especially those at risk due to health and economic reasons, to achieve their desired independence and dignity through client advocacy, assessment and provision of needed service.

Crime Stoppers of Gladwin County

The objective of this organization is to provide funds to the local law enforcement agencies for tips on felony crimes. They advertise a toll-free phone number to the community and promote community support in solving crimes. They also provide grant funds to local law enforcement agencies for equipment and scholarships for law enforcement students.

Lake Huron Area Boy Scouts

Lake Huron Area Council provides 190 Gladwin County youths with the character development citizenship training, physical, and mental fitness program of the Boy Scouts of America through the leadership of64 adults volunteer mentors. Scouting youth learn valuable life and leadership skills while adult volunteers of good character, mentor them.

Mid Michigan Community Action Agency

MMCAA offers assistance for emergency utility, fuel, shelter, or household needs. Other agency programs include food commodities, housing, preschool education and Early Head Start.

RIF of Beaverton

Reading is Fundamental (RIF) is a program which distributes books to children at Beaverton Rural Schools, grade levels K-6. The books are free to the children and help to promote the joy of reading and personal ownership of books. In some cases, the RIF books are the new books that these children ever receive.

Mid Michigan Home Care

Mid Michigan Home Care provides a full range oh home care services, including home health care, hospice, palliative care, private duty and medical equipment to residents of Gladwin County.

The mission of the CDV&SA is to eliminate domestic and sexual violence by providing advocacy, education, and shelter for people in Midland and Gladwin Counties.

The mission of the Corporation is to promote improved quality of life for individuals with differing needs by encouraging and supporting personal growth and inclusion in the community through the development of their vocational, social, and life skills.

Ten Sixteen Recovery Network

Promoting a way of life louder and stronger than drugs or alcohol! TSRN provides help for people struggling with drugs and alcohol, including detox, short-term residential and outpatient counseling. Serving Mid-Michigan since 1980, they are embrace wellness, recovery and vibrant living.

Wooden Shoe Big Boys Club

This club is a group of concerned citizens working toward helping senior citizens handicapped, needy, low-income families and individuals in Gladwin County. They also partner with Mid Michigan Community Action Agency, Sacred Heart Mission and Department of Human Services in providing local services.

Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan

The girl scout leadership experience engages girls in discovering themselves, connecting with others, and taking action to make the world a better place. Girl scouting offers girls the tools they need to be successful leaders, now and throughout their lives. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop strong values and improve society. Today's Girl Scouts are defining new ways to lead at home and around the globe.

Gladwin Summer Recreation Program

The Summer Rec Program is a six-week program for children ages 5-12 and runs June through July. They provide opportunities for our local children to learn history, language arts, and science in a fun, relaxed environment at the Gladwin City Park. The children will learn through sports, games, stories, crafts and field trips that are theme-based for each week. Gladwin Community Schools Summer Recreation is a non-profit program run by donations only and is cost-free to all children.

Beaverton Lions Club 

(Christmas Basket Program)

The BLC's Christmas Basket Program delivers 100 baskets at Christmas time to families in need in the Beaverton Community. The project has been ongoing for 75 years. This is just one of several programs the organization takes on to make our community a better place to live.

Student Assistance of Beaverton

The SAP was established to meet the ongoing needs of students and their families by coordinating services with local agencies. In addition to providing prevention programming within the school day, they also work the court system, probation officers, and community agencies to help provide counseling, substance abuse intervention, family counseling, and other support services to students and their families as necessary.

Salvation Army

The objective of Service Extension is to provide assistance to people with emergency needs services include individual case assessment, utility assistance to prevent utility shut-offs, assistance with rent and mortgage arrearages, and referrals to other social service agencies.

Mid Michigan Big Brothers/ Big Sisters

Mid Michigan Big Brothers/ Big Sisters provides professionally screened, matched and monitored one-to-one mentoring services for youth ages 5-15 of Gladwin County.

Hospice of Gladwin Area

Hospice of Gladwin Area is a grass roots volunteer 501c(3) non-profit organization serving Gladwin County and some surrounding areas which offers (free of charge) support, volunteers and resources to those with life limiting illness through hospice care coordination, medical equipment, supply closet, bereavement support, and resource library.

Beaverton Summer Recreation Program

Beaverton recreation program provides a variety of recreational opportunities for approximately 200 Gladwin County children, ages 4-12. Our program is a safe, structured recreational program filled with outdoor play, games, educational and team-building activities. Also included are field trips to area facilities where the children enjoy healthy, active play.
